I know this is old news.. I was just wondering what the experts here think of these guys regarding the uniforms and equipment and all that.
I noticed this set and the previous one don't have those knee pads. Is that common?

This set looks pretty good for the initial invasion. They look to be in JS-LIST chemical suits which were worn from crossing the Iraqi border on 20 MAR 03 until about 7 APR 03. The kneepads are optional gear and not worn by all, pretty much a presonal preferance, also, they were not common in '03.

Thanks a lot for the info, Gino!
It's a good change to have some action poses. The only problem I have is that the different figure sets from the different companies don't really go together. Each set seems to be from a different time frame

The one thing that stuck out to me is the jacked up way the soldier down is wearing his M-9 holster.... He might shoot himself in the face if he tries pulling it outa there! LOL

Hisham-I believe these are designed to accompany Black Dog's previous release of early OIF infantry in JSLIST suits, set no. 35050.
I have the previous release and they are stunning, its pleasing to finally have to very early OIF US figures. Personally I am not so keen on the look of these new ones. The pose of the standing guy looks a bit off, I just can't imagine its very easy to shoot an M16A2 with any degree of success with one hand. I'd prefer he was kneeling firing off the M203, or just fully concentrating on the injured guy.

I mate,
I can confirmed that the blackdogs figures are quit good, the face details are a bit soft and dont have any particular expression.I post some pict about the first set they released and they should be finished by tomorrow.
Regarding the 2nd set I change few thing about the lying guy, I suppress the gun and swap for a new hand.I undercoat them and they are ready for the painting process.
Pict to be fallow
cheer
