Do we know anything about this upcoming kit? Is it a new tooling?

is this the AGS-17 on the turret? I think this is BTR-70G (Russian г) I have only one pic from a book, in the book it has a slat or cage on the back of the turret.

You're absolutely right - it is AGS-17 on the turret likewise this turret has also 12,7-mm MG "KORD" instead of KPVT. As far as I can see, this is just one of the options for upgrading existing BTRs, constructed by "Muromteplovoz". http://muromteplovoz.ru/product/mil_cs_ma702.php
And what about BTR-70G - there was only one prototype many years ago, but there wasn't any serial production. All machines, which carried AGS-17 in Afghanistan, were made in field workshops, and the AGS' arragement on them was different:

And as for the model-of course it will be an old body with new turret (as well as BTR-80A)

I agree with Kirill here- I reckon it will be as the 80A kit was- old body, new turret. It would be nice to be proved wrong though and find that it was an all new tooling!
