Found quite a few places with info on primer colours for German military vehicles etc. but having problems finding info on the Actual primer colour used on British Armour, Artillery and soft skin's..
I can guess that both red and grey lead primers will pop up a few times, but was there some general order for which type of vehicle got what?

Red oxide is what we usually find when removing WW2 paint from artillery guns however we have found grey as well as paint straight onto a matt green cote.
