Well I finally got my 3 sets in after chasing my own tail for a month. Guess what! Dragons Q.C. was asleep at their desk again. One of the boxs didn't have the weapons sprue. Not too bad as my L.H.S. traded them out for another set. Problems solved I thought, but wait. Who ever did this set screwed up. Upon checking the set I noticed there aren't enough ammo pouchs to go around for the Grand rifles. You get 12 grand ammo pouchs for 3 rifles, or 12 for 2 grands and none for the .30 carbine and none for the BAR. They require 5 pouchs on each side for the Grands. You do get 12 full clips out of the pouchs with the GEN 2 weapons. Though this is not a serrious problem for me as I have a big parts dept., for those who don't, it could be a problem outfiting these fellows for combat. No grenades are included with this set either. Parts B-10 & B-11 are not in the directions but look like they fit on the belt of the corpsman, not 100% sure about that though. Also noticed that the entrenching tools look really small. You do get 2 styles of canteen covers which is a nice touch and the bandoliers have the correct amount of pouchs (6). Along with that, the back packs do not look quite wide enough according to the pics I have. Just a friendly heads up to anyone who is going to P/U this set.

Thank goodness I got tired of waiting and decided to ditch the project I was planning and traded off the other kits I had for it.

In all fairness, I contacted Dragon to see if they would send out the sprue from a gen.2 weapons set with the correct amount and type of ammo pouchs needed to complete the set with 3 riflemen. I was given a tracking # for the problem/request and will let you know what the results are.

I have been in contact with Dragon and we are attempting to resolve the missing ammo pouchs problem. Seems to be an over sight of who ever did the figures. The box artwork shows exactly what you get though it is incorrect in what you need. Hopefully Dragon will send out the 18 extra Grand ammo pouchs, 6 Bar pouchs and enough for the .30 cal. carbine. Had I seen them at my L.H.S. I might have seen the mistake but ordered them from their supplier without a close up look at the box/kit. O.K., fall in and wait, snafu of course.

Just sent Dragon care a e-mail about the handling of this problem as I feel no responce to my 2nd inquiery is unprofessional. It may not matter to them about one customer being unhappy with a messed up kit, but I'm sure I can raise the fire ubder someone butt there.

Hey Amenxe, at least we have the extras around, but a new modeler or someone who doesn't have them, is kind of screwed. I wrote Dragon care last night as I received an auto reply a week ago but that was it. I might have jumped the gun so to speak, but I am ticked off about it. This is the 3rd set they messed up, and I realize that it happens. The first two times I was brushed off. But at this point I say B.S. I feel that if we support a company and let them know something is wrong with a kit that they CAN take care of, they should. I mean really, what would it cost to send out the extra sprue needed to complete the figures. You can't arm these Marines correctly without them with the supplied weapons. I think it would cost them more to disregard the problem. I have over 200 sets of Dragons figures as I do vign's, but there are other companies that do a great job on their figures too. Masterbox and Miniart come to mind, and I have many of their sets too. So I ask Dragon, what's it going to be? I really do hope that Dragon fix's this because I do like their figures. Heck, if I stopped buying figures now, I'd probably have enough to keep me busy till I go blind of old age. But having the option to do all these sets is too tempting for me. And the real nice thing about Dragons figures is they are mostly interchangable like the old Airfix sets. So I usually buy 3 sets, one stock and the others mix and matched for different poses. There is still time before I get real upset, so I'll give them the benifit of doubt and figure they are looking at what they did and what can be done about it. I guess that makes me an pessimistic optimist; or is that an optimistic pessimist. Good luck with your build. L.O.L.

O.K., just got an e-mail from Dragon care on the continuing adventure. They state that they are in contact with Hong Kong to see what can be done but it will take a few weeks to do so. Good thing I planed to do the 4 sets this winter. Will let everyone know what happens when it does happen.
