Hi Luca,

Looking very nice so far I am building the same kit myself, how did you find the brass rings for the idler wheels to glue, I have never used the eduard etch zimmerit, how was it to use??
Looking good so far

Looks good to me Luca. I was never a fan of the etched zimmerit as it was "too perfect" in form, but this looks a little more realistic. Id still prefer Cavalier or Attak though. Will be interesting to see how it paints up!

Looks good so far. Personally though, if it were mine, I'd think about using some putty and a tool and filling the gaps in some of the areas, like on the front plate around the tow mounts, around the return roller mounts, and a few other spots.... but that's just me.

hi mike

the brass rings where a bit of a waste and i kept 1 of them of as it kept falling of . the etch zimmerit was ok but kept falling of as you can seee in the photo some are missing. i wouldnt use it again.

i should get some paint on in the next few days.

Your front and rear fenders are on wrong. You should switch the L and R on each. The Eduard Zimmerit set looks nice, but a bit "uniform".

I'm just making an assumption here, but if you are using the poly cement which appears in one of your pics to glue the etch then you will have problems. Only viable option for gluing etch is super glue or specialist model etch glue.

I personally think you could benefit from ripping some of the etch off and replacing it a little neater, as it sits at the moment its overhanging some of the parts of the tank which is not correct as the etch was pasted on the surface. I also believe that zim was not applied to the upper surfaces of the engine deck.

Anyway, good luck with it, just take your time and you'll get the hang to it!

hi guys,

i used superglu but it still didnt stick perfectly.
as for the ngine deck the instructions called for peces to be put on there so i followed.

i would definately not use the eduard zim again as the fit wasnt great and it looks to new and perfect.this was just practice to use PE so im not to Bothered if it doesnt look brilliant.

Hi Luca,
looking good but not only the front fenders are wrong the rear ones are too. If you can sshould a bit of putty Zimmerit
to few places just to take uniform look away .

hi guys

thanks for the comments unfortunately i dont have the putty or zim tools yet. as for the fenders i changed them but then i accidently snapped a fender . i put some paint on today and i was wondering my dunkelgelb is vallejo model air, my green is vallejo model colour and the brown is revell aqua, my question is could i use all the colours on 1 tank and if so is there anything special i need to do.
