Since there is not interior available for this kit, I have decided to scratch build one. My problem is, I can't find any photos of the M1A2's interior. I know that the hull and turret are the same as the M1. Is the interior the same?

Basically yes. The M1A2 has a couple video screens for the TC and Driver that a standard M1A1 doesn't have.
The old Dragon M1A1 interior can be used on it. Also, the Dragon M1A2 kit came with a couple extra parts for the TCs digital screens as well.
Here is an M1A2 SEP w/full interior that I did for a customer using the Dragon interior anad scratch building.
Here are some interior photos.
TC's position.
Driver's position
Gunner's position.
TC and Gunner in position.
Good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply Gino. I have one Abrams nearly completed and found a second for only $46. A real joy to build.
