Hello @ all,

did anyone see this new trumpeter kit? Perhaps a (p)review or something else?

It's been announced for a couple years IIRC. Who knows if it will see the light of day.

Yes, that has been lingering around for a few years now.

Love to see a mainstream kit for a Merkava IV. The only option is the Cromwell Models release and with the owner of that companies less than stellar reputation, impossible to acquire.

It's another Merkava III. Where is the chain-balls?
To sabredog: About Merkava IV it is very sad that 1/72 is only from Cromwell Models ( a very good resin model i said).
Altaya is the other option but is metal one. This one you only can detail it and make some corretions.
Its a pity many Merkava IV from another scale´s but a very , very few to 1/72

The kit is available in a LHS in Metro Manila and sells for around $12.00. Sadly, no balls and chains again. And to my surprise, the road wheels and tracks are all molded together, similar to JB Models' M113 kit. But the detail is fantastic. It would take a modeler less than an hour to build this out of the box. Its like Trumpeter built this with wargaming in mind.

Sorry I have no photos now. I'll try to get some soonest and post them.

@ChaosXVI – Toby,

Thank you for updating us on this new Trumpeter release. I for one would be interested in seeing any photos you may wish to post here giving us an idea about the quality of the molding and kit parts.

An hour to assemble this vehicle? It takes me that long just to look things over and decide how I will proceed with building my kits! LOL So, how about you’re input on putting this kit together?

Thanks,
~ Eddy

@Braille put bold text here

Hahaha I might be exaggerating but yes it looks very simple. I didn't get a kit for myself (I have 3 revel kits an Esci Mk II and an Italeri Mk I already) but I got one for a friend. I left it somewhere where he can pick it up. i'll try to swing by and take photos if the kit is still where I left it.

I got photos. Please forgive me for taking images of the spruce while still in the plastic bags. This is not my kit. I got this for a friend. And I didn't want to open the plastic just so I could take photos. Hope you all will understand...

@ChaosXVI – Toby,

Thanks for taking the time to post photographs of the sprues and instructions. It looks like a well detailed kit and with a little work will make a nice addition to any ones IDF collection.

Hi there, it looks like I was not alone in waiting some time for Trumpeter's Merkavas. But now that the Merkava III has been released and is widely available in shops, is anyone aware when (or if) their III Baz is going to come out? They seemed to be announced at the same time and so I just assumed they'd come out together...

A friend of mine is doing this kit too. Looks good, simplified so it will take much less time to build than the Revell kit but is missing the ball/chain armor
