Many thanks, Roman, for a detailed and highly descriptive review. For those who are interested, there's a promotional video on YouTube (though I wish it were longer):

Fred, thanks for feedback. I just googled and retail price is around 17 USD or 13 pounds.

Well, "duh" on me (for thinking the publisher's website wouild have that information). Sounds like it's a good value, then, as well. Thanks once more, Roman!

Just bought this at the IPMS nationals in Orlando for $18. I stood and watched the video for about 45 minutes and made no hesitation in my purchase. Dude has skills...well worth the money I dropped on it. Looking forward to watching the whole thing once I get some much needed sleep.

Matthew, I am sure you will enjoy it until the end. I was so inspired that I tried the techniques on my recent project - they work

I have been very impressed with their DVD's but I really wish they would release them in a region 1 or region-free format. Watching it on the TV would be very nice here in the US.

There's always ripping the DVD to your hard drive and then re-burning it as a region 1 or region-free DVD, but that's a lot of extra effort that could have been avoided with a more robust product.

True. of course most of the good programs cost twice what these DVD's do, and the freeware stuff usually only rips a 10 minutes section. It's a pity, because the other DVD's of theirs are an excellent value for the money.

this is a sweet dvd
the PAL coding does suck
I ordered this last week and had it in a day
the shipping was at cost not inflated either
probably helped that I was only a state away
the best part is most of the techniques is stuff you probably have laying around the work bench

Just a quick question: is this DVD some sort of a product placement-type stuff (kind of like an advertisement you are paying for)? Would be nice to know before I buy.

Andras, no, this DVD uses products of various brands and not advertises any of them. Pure focus on techniques.
In principle, not the product makes your model good, it is the question of technique and skills.
