It has been a long time since I shared any of my work, so I'm back with a vengeance.
For starters, I'd like to share a personal story. Almost 40 years ago, one of the first toys I can remember was a gray Solido diecast Jagpanther with metal tracks and black plastic accesories...
No need to tell you it was one of my early influences into modelling and has always stayed a very dear subject for me.
I have finally built a reasonably decent model of the JP and this is the result.
Kit was a breeze. No fit, complexity or such issues. I leave the accuracy to those more knowledgable than me.

My, you have been busy!
NICE JagdP! The camo looks just great! You did the right thing by skipping away from that dunkelgrau Solido paint scheme! These things came out after Dunkelgelb became the official base-coat color in FEB 1943 and should never appear in all-Gray, if one cares anything about paint accuracy!
I think the JagdPanther was actually my first 1/35 scale tank build - back with the old Tamiya kit in about 1973! It's always been a fav vehicle of mine and seems to just shout "KILL!" My attempt was, well, rather uninformed and quite un-skillful... and I learned airbrushing in the process. I still have it on a shelf (yeah, sentimentality rules)... Looks quite different from the fine item you've posted.
Your's captures the look pretty nicely!
As a historical note: This is an "early" - production started in JAN 1944 - the "accurate" "early" would have been zimm'd. (No, I didn't zimm mine, either! )
Thanks for sharing this!
Bob

Overall your painting and weathering is nicer on the Jagdpanther than on the Pz lV J. Is this a newer build? I noticed on the Pz lV you missed some pin marks on the spare track links and it looks like you applied the decals after weathering.

Thanks Bob, as for the Zimmerit, I spent hours upon hours looking through reference material, and in defence of my opinion not to zimm I believe that there were vehicles finished with the 1-piece gun after the order to stop Zimm was given. But, hey, I'm just so tired of Zimmerit!
Biggles, no the 2 builds were almost one after the other, just different weathering techniques on the 2 kits, I missed the pin marks on the tracks (from ancient zvezda and tamiya kits) and as for the decals, as this is an old DML kit they are thick, glossy and defy matt varnish......
