totally confused, as usual on teh web, too many informations, which sometime means no informations!
I am trying to recreate a russian based version
Two points:
1) the gun mantlet: shoudl I use teh one supplies with weld seams or should it be totally different in shape and type?
2) rear deck: i now got to assume the read deck frames should be rectangular and identical but:
a) what about the shape of the opening of the one on the right (under the grill, sorry for my poor english), rectangular or that unregular shape as supplied (to match the hatch, supplied as weel in that shape)?
b) and does it have a cober (ie as supplied) or not?
c) lastly, what about that "romboid" cover moulded in the kit to the forn of this grill? in the photo on the web it seems to be either missing or a totally diefferent shape.
please help!

Those Enigmas are quite different from one another. I think the best way to go would be to work from a preserved version and go from there...
I know at least three : the Bovington tank, the tank in Mourmelon France and one that used to be at Aberdeen.
No idea which one would be Russian based though...
Cheers,
Christophe

Here two walkarounds of the Mourmelon exemplar, which is a Russian Enigma. As you can see, the tank has a Polish gun mantlet, but that could be a modification due to the restoration:

Here the Bovington exemplar which is a "Polish" Enigma

Here the Patton museum exemplar. Unfortunately as you can see, a tarp doesn't allow having a definite recognition. However, looking at the rear deck details, you can say that It must be a tank derived from a Polish or a Czexh T-55, it can't be a Russian exemplar

Another thing which is important to know is that all the preserved Enigma seem to have the OMSh track links
Patton
Bovington
Mourmelon
That's quite strange, becaue Polish and Czech T-55s usually have the RMSH track links and a 14 teeth sprocket wheel
It's possible to get some other information about the T-55 versions here
