Apparently, we buy the same kits Dave

How are you going to make the anti slip surfaces?

I'll follow your build for sure

cheers

I second that...just got my hands on the same kit.

Concerning the anti-slip surface, are you planning on using Rust-Oleum Texture Surface Spray? ( Here's an example:http://www.idf-modelling.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=3129 )
Tamiya Diorama Texture paint works too...

Keep on building Dave, i'll follow your progress!

So tell me, how do you guys feel that the rustoleum textured primer looks scale wise? Think it would be ok on the British Challenger 2 deserted? What are some other options?

Thanks in advance,

My opinion on non-slip texture effect is that rust-oleum gives the best effect. But Tamiya Texture Effect gives you a bit more controll on the amount of texture since it's applied by brush.
Concerning the Challenger 2...i have no idea i'm afraid.

I'll follow along Dave. As you know, I'm not super interested in modern stuff, but this looks like a really nice kit.

I used the Rustoleum Multicolored Textured paint (has a grittier texture than the regular Rustoleum)

I have TOOO many unfinished projects on my bench which I'd like to finish before start building this beast! Morover, although I love its agressive shape, I'm not an IDF expert at all. I'd really prefere to follow some builds as your before start mine.
Great start so far. Carry on!

cheers

It goes together very nice- only problem I seemed to have was repeatedly tweezer-pulting small parts

Dave,

The primer really ties it all together!

Those weights on the ends of the chain-curtain armor came out looking great, too.

Very nice all the way around.

I'll be looking forward to seeing this at our next meeting.
