Hi, This is my first post. I am trying to do some modern Aussie Soldiers with the 5 Pattern Desert camo - DPDU

On Wikipedia it tells me the colour pattern is Brown, Grey, Very Light Blue, Purple on a Yellow Background.

can someone tell me what would they be in Tamiya, Gunze or any other paints?

No problem mate. I should have also stated that the first version of DPDU had a more of a yellow/sand base colour.
This patten is of the second version used after (I think) 2005.
What figures are you using and welcome to Armorama.
Cheers Jason

Hi. Thanks.

I am going to use Trumpeter 1/35 US Modern Army Crewmen & Infantry Figure and try to convert them to Aussie soldiers.

If I can't get the model colour paints.
What other paint can I use for those colours that might be close to it. I use Tamiya and gunze?

If you go to Vallejo's website they've got a conversion chart. You may find that Vallejo Model Colour brush easier than Tamiya - as they're designed specifically for brush painting.

p.s. Jase: great colour plate, mate!

Any decent hobby shop should have Vellejo paint. They are fantastic paints.

Thanks Rudi. Now I just have to do another two for a few "upcoming" figures.

Cheers Jason

Where in Aus are you? Perhaps we can direct you to a store who stocks Vallejo.

(p.s. you can set your state under your user profile)
