There's still a lot of photos of fellow modelers work there.
I've been there for that (I'm a new member) and i didnt really understand the overlap between this site and the MSN group.
Is that where this site grew from?

Austin,
We didn't have a place for members to post photos before getting our new PhotoPost system. Also it has served as a portal for people to find the main site.

Arthur,
It just came up for me okay. Or are you talking about the chat area?

If you are trying to create "new" albums then the issue is probably that we have exceeded the maximum allowed for any one site. Use the photopost gallery on this site if you can.

Cheers,
Jim

Tazz,
Well it's true that the MSN system is probably a bit more user friendly. But of course Microsoft probably spent several million dollars on its development and I only had to spend $150 for PhotoPost.

If I had to guess your images are probably larger than the 150kb the default users are allowed. This is done to actually increase the number of photos you can upload on the system. I could (of course) do what MSN does and not impose a file size limit. And after uploading 10-30 images your 3mb would be used up (as it is on MSN) and the only way to get more would be to upgrade the account by paying a fee.

Or I can set the .jpg image compression REALLY low as MSN does with image resizing and all images will look rather crapy.

Hmm....decisions decisions.

I guess we will just keep the options open and let the user decide. For users that format their images a bit and save them as .jpgs (thus being able to control the final file size) then I think they will find it pretty easy to use our gallery. Not only that but we have maxed out on available pages (?) on the MSN site so only users who have made galleries there will be able to use them.

Cheers,
Jim
