Hello,
Let me show my new project - M36 tank destroyer in 1/72 scale of course. This is the Extratech model in ExtraPack version with some extras. The model will have the interior. What is more, I'm planning a little diorama with figures.
Time for first pics. The interior is ready to paint.
I didn't waste time for detailing, I used only parts from the kit, plastic and photo-etched elements. It looks poorly, but this is good enough in my opinion.
Moreover, fixing the chassis tooks me much time.
and painted...
More progress soon.
Best,
M.

Hi Mateusz,
Very nice progress. I presume that the time taken to do the running gear was because of the over complicated nature of the build. I have the M10 and decided to use a spare Dragon lower hull for the running gear. I look forward to seeing more of this build as I am thinking of getting this kit.
All the best,
Paul

Hi Mateusz,
Great clean build and painting on the interior...I had this kit a few years back when I was first into the hobby. They are so rare now..I want the M10 too Paul. If you know where to get one from please tell me! I was going to rebuild an Armourfast one using a Dragon hull....Keep up the good work I look forward to seeing some more progress.

Hi Mateusz,
Excellent interior painting, I especially enjoyed the floor plate weathering.
Good luck with the rest.

@matejson – Mateusz,
For being an OOTB build this vehicle looks to be a very busy one with all of the included extra parts. You’ve done a great job with painting the chassis interior compartment. Looking forward to seeing the turret painted.
I remember seeing this kit on sale numerous times over at the Squadron mail order website but kept passing it up to get some other sale items. It is now not so easy to acquire, but it is good to see that you have it, so I will be following your progress.

Mateusz,
A very nice, clean build.
A couple questions. What are you using for the tan "grate" under the rear hull? Did you apply Mr. Surfacer to the front fenders, and if so, why?
Keep up the great work!

The 'grate' is the resin part from the M36 kit. This is ExtraPack version which has P-E elements and resin parts. See the first post.
The grey surface is the Tamiya Surface Primer(spray). It's only base for Vallejo paints. As you can see in the photo, I applied it when I was painting the interior.

Most new elements on the turret is my own scratch. All needs only small correction using sandpaper. Now, I am preparing accesories, rucksacks, crates, jerry-cans and other.
And first diorama fitting... I have used Verlinden resin kit.

@matejson – Mateusz,
Great progress! I’m looking forward to seeing some paint and weathering on your tank destroyer. Will you be adding any crewmembers and stowage to the vehicle? I’m also looking forward to the base, this scene is looking real good to me.
Keep it coming,

That is one heck of a set of PE for this scale! AND, what a building too!
Doesn't look 1/72 to me, it's THAT good of a result.
Of course... I love the Jackson too.

I think this kit is long out of production and may likely never return. I really don't have any details why. I know when this kit was introduced it was relatively expensive when compared to typical injection molded kits. Unfortunately modelers did not recognize this was not your typical injection molded kit, but something far more. When compared to some of the resin versions it was better detailed and better to work with, but roughly comparable price wise. Eduard took a risk and well, the market didn't embrace it. Many modelers want a $40 kit for $6 like they used to buy. But those $6 kits are pretty sparse compared to what a modern kit will buy.
Anyway, that's the bad news. The good news is that they do come up for sale on ebay and at model shows from time to time. In some regards, they are a deal for what you will get. They also tend not to be highly sought after by average modelers, keeping the prices reasonable.
