A KV-2 diorama I am working on, sporadically. The vehicle has yet to be weathered. The engine is composed of Hauler and Bandai KV-1 engine parts. The transmission is from an old Bandai KV-1 kit. The hoist is an O Scale Crow River Valley product. Also, I am planning to add three Russian mechanics from ICM.

Nice work I really like this project. Did you add the lifting rings to the eight points on the engine deck?

No lifting rings added. The HobbyBoss kits do not need much added detail although I did add the vent louvers under the Hauler PE screens. The real effort went into doing the engine. I improved the Hauler one with parts from HobbyBoss T-34 engines and even used exhaust pipes from a Bandai kit which run up into the exhaust outlets. As well, I drilled out all the bolt holes in the transmission deck plate. The turret is from the Tamiya kit with an aftermarket barrel although I do not recall which one as I have used two brands of barrels for my Kv-2 models. The most fun, though, came from doing the rusting supports and beam for the hoist.
Cheers

Good work fitting two different scale kits into one diorama setting. I think it works

Nice idea to use the "O" scale crane, it should really come alive with the mechanics added!

Hi Glenn
Looks great! That crane really makes the differens. One can get a lot of great stuff from the railway branche of the hobby.
Best regards
Jacob
