Hi Gang,

while waiting for my Trumpeter M1083 kit to arrive, I wonder were are the FBCB2 and Radio components installed in the truck.
I want to build an M1083 of Fires Squadron 2nd CR. I noticed that all M1083/M1084 of 2nd CR have the FBCB2 kit, but I was unable `til now to take some pics of the cabins interior. I noticed that Pro Art Models has an FBCB2 rack planned, but not yet released. A google search proved nothing valuable, so I count again on this community for help. Frenchy???

TIA

Usually, the storage box behind the driver's seat is removed and a radio rack is installed in it's place.
(Of course I can't find a pic to show you.)

There is also usually a remote speaker box and handmike on the dach between the driver and TC as well.

Here is another oic that may help. The FCBC2 screen is also mounted on the dashboard between the driver and TC. You can see the mount for it, along with the speaker box again, in this pic.

Hi Gino

I had forgotten about this picture I had posted in the M1078 thread

Here's the link to the full size version (from Joe Wallace's M1083 Webshots album) :

@ Gino and Frenchy,

thanks for the pics and TM will help my project immense.

I recently spoke with a German AM manufacturer, he is interested in producing a canvas cover for the M1083. But don`t ask me for a date.
