Cybermodeler has a 'new" BMP-1 listed from Zvezda. Would this be just a reissue of the old kit or are they giving the BMP-1 the new treatment like the T-90?

At 99.9% it's a reissue.
It sounds like a new marketing strategy. When a company announces a brand new kit depicting an old subject, other companies reissue the old tool.
A little time ago Trumpeter announced its new BRMD-2 early. Few later Cyberhobby put on the market its old BRMD-2 kit.
Now Trumpeter has announced a new BMP-1, so Cybermodeller is doing the same with its old product.
Of course, it should be better waiting for the new releases anyway
cheers
