I have started to use the AK Interactive and really like it. As for hairspray, I get the cheapest brand at the store, and spray it right out of the can. I normally allow the hairspray to sit on the model for 15-20 min before I paint, and I use two coats of the hairspray.

Certainly not the cheap stuff and we gave him grief over it, but he swore by the stuff.

I use the cheapest can from the local supermarket and decant it into a container to put through the airbrush as it is much easier to control that way - it also stinks the place out less!

I just did the hairspray technique for the first time a couple weeks ago, personally found it to be a hassle. That could be because of the the hairspray, or I'm impatient...go figure. Going to buy the AK Chipping product for my next model. Good luck!
What cheek! Let them have it!

I too find the hairspray method to be a hassle. I have tried it a couple of times, but prefer the salt method. You have much more control with salt that with hairspray. I also find the result to be much more realistic.
