Just a crazy idea...
Would someone be interested to model a dio from the SAME picture with me ? I mean modeling from a pic like Ralf just did ...
I don't have a specific choice of picture, but I'd like the idea to do something together with another modeler. If anyone has a suggestion ...

nice idea mr failure but can we wait till after market garden campaign?
making 2 dio's for it will fill up all of my time
but if we can do this after the campaign count me in I like that idea.

I'm in for this idea, but only when I have finished my current RMG entry.... I want to spend quality time on this one first...after that there will be plenty of time left for me to make a second RMG entry, so why not......

I suggested this as a campaign idea earlier this year. I thought it would be neat to have everybody choose a photo and model it. I'd be interested after RMG and Cover Up.

I am actually already doing something like that. The Airborne Jeep I`m scratchbuilding was an idea I got when reading the book; German Armored units at Arnhem 1944 on one of the first pages there was an Airborne Jeep Towing a 37 mm cannon. I thought the scene was quite funny and decided to built it.
Here is the original pic:
and this is a digital sketch of how it will be soon

Maybe even several people can tackle the same image ?
All we need is a good pic. Since the campaign only started this week, we've got all the time left.

sounds like fun may make a good campaign on it's own with people teaming up or someone selecting a picture to work from what do you think? :-)

Good idea, but I think we should take something small...a vignette or something....
There is a picture out there somewhere with a PIAT team near a road under a tree, next to the rail-road crossing sign...... The DML paratroopers kit would be wonderful for this.... Cheap and accessible...maybe this is an idea ?

eagle,
I agree about it being something small so more people can join in how about a motorcyle or something along those lines

It's a good idea , to choose one pic and we all make our own versions of the same pic in a dio . Maybe a group build or campaighn named : "Clone Dio" ? Just suggest 5-10 pics clear and detailed with a small item ( f.e. a jeep and 2 figures or motorcycle and figures or even a bunker with some stuff and figures) we set the dimensions of the base share the pic and everyone makes his version !!sounds nice idea i think
