Is this Dragon's Wirbelwind? I've got the kit and was actually thinking of a diorama something like this.

Nice work with the netting. Are the helmets correct though?

A cold morning in Normandy??
I think you must change the place, AFAIK those padded winter uniforms wasn't used in Normandy, and probably nowhere in France, so an east front placement or perhaps Ardennes.
You have got the best from that kit, is the original one or the retooled?
The SS patchs in the helmets were "rare" late in the war

Christopher
Thanks for the kind comments.
I am aware that SS decals were quite rare during the period of the war this is supposed to represent.
But I am sure some units still had them although I may be wrong?
Cheers

Thanks for the positive comments.
I was not aware that the uniform was not used during this period.
The helmets I was aware the insignia was taken off but I am sure some units may have kept them.
The kit is the original one from Tamiya.
Cheers

Nice looking build, my only comment is the winter uniforms look out of place for the time period and the color of the vegetation.

Interesting netting material. Doesn't look like the usual dyed gauze which is always ready to fall apart. What did you use?

The netting is a Verlinden product.
I also use gauze dyed but I prefer Verlinden although it can be expensive.
Cheers

That was the Verlinden netting? Nice, might have to order some at some point.

I agree! Thick winter uniforms and summer green vegetation do not go together well!
Cheers
