Thanks to both Todd Michalak and Ken "Badger" Schlotfeldt we have been informed of a couple of production errors and the corrective actions to be taken. This appears to have affected a very small amount of sent out airbrushes, but just in case you have one here is the info:

Production error alert and recommended resolution procedures.

I am posting to inform of, and apologize for, two production errors we have become aware of. And to also provide remedy if you have purchased a Rengade Krome airbrush or needle/nozzle conversion kit that was affected by either of these production errors.

We are extremely sorry for these errors, and any inconvenience to purchasers of these products.

Issue One: A batch of Renegade Krome airbrushes were produced and tested with the incorrect triggering linkage system. An ambitious new production/testing room staff member, who was unaware the Renegade Krome and Renegade Velocity utilize different internal triggering linkages, produced and tested a batch of Kromes with Velocity triggering linkage systems in them. As it is our normal checks and balances procedure to have one person do assembly production and another perform testing on an airbrush batch run - packaging presumed this is what occurred and proceeded to package these airbrushes unaware of their being incorrectly produced. Before anyone realized the error - the entire batch shipped out. This error occurred in early to mid August. We know at least a portion of these airbrushes shipped to Chicago Airbrush Supply.

Internal corrective action: We have implemented additional employee training, and have reinforced to staff the importance of the checks and balances procedures that are necessary to prevent production errors of this nature.

Customer resolution options: If you purchased a Renegade Krome airbrush and received one containing the incorrect triggering linkage system (which is most easily detected by its rocker lever not being detachable from the needle tube) we will either 1. send you the correct triggering linkage system for you to change out or 2. we will do the change over at our factory without cost (we will send you paint to reimburse your shipping cost to us), or 3. we will exchange the airbrush for you (in which case you will pay the freight cost to send in your incorrect Krome airbrush, which must be received in our factory before the replacement is sent out).

Resolution procedure: If you have an incorrect Krome related to the foregoing issue, please send an email to [email protected] under the subject name "Incorrect Krome Triggering Linkage System", indicating your date and place of purchase and your address and preferred remedy - and we will respond with further instruction accordingly.

Issue Two: A quantity of .21-Ultra-Fine Renegade spray regulators were incorrectly packaged as .3-Fine spray regulators. An outside process vendor mixed separate batches of Ultra-Fine and Fine Renegade spray regulators. Despite our efforts to re-sort thousands of spray regulators, we have become aware we incorrectly packaged several R-061 Renegade .3-Fine needle/nozzle conversion kits and several Krome 2 in 1 airbrushes. This error occurred in late August. We know at least a portion of the incorrectly packaged product shipped to Coast Airbrush.

Internal corrective action: We have communicated the necessity to not mix parts to our outside vendors, and our Engineer has modified the knurl of the Fine Renegade spray regulator to make it and the Ultra-Fine regulator more distinct from each other and more easily identifiable as one or the other.

Customer resolution options: If you received a Renegade Krome 2 in 1 airbrush that included an additional .21-Ultra-Fine spray regulator, instead of the correct .3-Fine spray regulator or if your received an R-061 needle/nozzle conversion kit that included a .21-Ultra-Fine spray regulator, instead of the correct .3-Fine spray regulator we will send you the correct .3-Fine spray regulator.

Resolution procedure: If you have an incorrect .21-Ultra-Fine spray regulator instead of the correct .3-Fine spray regulator, please send an email to [email protected] under the subject name "Incorrect Renegade Spray Regulator", indicating your date and place of purchase and your address and we will send you the correct spray regulator.
