Thanks for the review, these look very nice for us Nam modelers and they cover a few unusual vehicles which is great to see.
I'll have to see where I can get these sets in the UK.

Thanks for the heads up and review Gino. I've seen/have photos of some of some of the actual vehicles depicted. Guess I'll have to do a little more research for some of the others.

The unknown unit for the M577 is possibly 2/35 Artillery.... At least according this photo's caption:

Thanks Gino for this review; This products looks very nice, some more other gun trucks markings were suitable ( King Cobra, Snoopy...)
For the Wild thing I ownly have pics from the M54 gun truck (pic below). James lyles is speacking about M37 and M35 Wild Thing, but have no ref pics.

After some digging, I have found what the bumper numbers could be for the M577, assuming it is from 2-35 FA. If it is, it would be something like the following:
Left Side
IIFFV 2F35
Stands for 2nd Field Force Vietnam, 2nd Bn, 35th Field Artillery
Right Side
A 10
A Battery, Vehicle 10, an FDC (Fire Direction Center)
**Pascal - I believe there were a few versions of "Wild Thing", one being an M35A1. It was common for crews to keep the same vehicle names as they switched trucks as some were damaged or destroyed in combat.
After some digging, I have found what the bumper numbers could be for the M577, assuming it is from 2-35 FA. If it is, it would be something like the following:
Left Side

-M37 later Malfunction and Daughter of Darkness (8GP 124 Bn 523TC 200)
-M35 box (D Co 815th Eng)
-M54 (35 Eng GP, D Co, 815th Eng
The M54 truck had short rear box (coming directly from the M35)and then longer box

I just found this picture of Wild Thing while surfing the internet. I am wondering who took this picture because I am the one on the box eating the C-rats. I have never seen this picture before. Do you know where and when it was taken?

Yup Joe that's you---- The Wild Thing D.co 815th Engineers was first on a 2 1/2 T . 1969± . In 1970 the gun box was switched to a 5 ton. At this time it had 1 m-60 and two M2 .50. In about Feb 1971 the Box was extended. Not with the double wall construction but with single wall 1/2" steel plate. Minigun was added again and a 2nd M-60 ( Duel m-60's ) was added. -- Tom Pruitt (WIA) was on the Wild Thing after I left in Nov.1971--He crewed with Joe. --Phil McMillan served on the Guntruck "Bounty Hunter-- B. co 815th Engineers. --- Also the was a 3/4 Ton Guntruck named Wild Thing that was with the 523rd Trans. Never heard of a 10T Guntruck Wild Thing. --- The 5 ton Cargo truck that the gun box was put on was stolen ( Borrowed ) from a stockyard in Cam Rahn Bay by a CW4 and brought back to Camp Dillard QL 20 and became the 5 ton Wild Thing. ----- Web

Gino, do the decals for Hell Kat have the "grafitti" right under the drivers hatch on the front? I can see something is there in Squadron's M48 in Vietnam but can't make it out. The product description just mentions the turret grafitti and a few tactical markings. I was wondering if the markings are complete.

I've just had a look at the decals and there isn't any other grafitti other than Hell Kat and the vietnamese wording.

Looking again at the pics in M48 in Vietnam, I dont think either picture is Hell Kat. One says A12 on the glacis and the other looks like it might say A15. Looks like that turret graffiti wasn't unique to just one tank
