Hi,
I appreciate this may be a silly & obvious question to most but I seem to have no idea.
I can make them up fairly easily using Milliput or other 2 part stuff but when I paint them they look so monotonous & rubbish. They look like a 4 year old child has painted them!
I am making up a dio set in Vietnam so I believe that they were not the same hessian sacks as used during WWII, right?
So the burning question is how on earth can I make my sandbags look real? How do you guys paint & weather them?
What materials & paints do you use to make them look authentic?
I really appreciate your help!
Thanks.
Joe.

First the Vietnam era bags were green and a bit finer in the weave. That said there is no exact color, nor are they all alike.
Second, like Anthony said, weather them using all the usual methods.
