May be this is a stupid question. but here goes...
I ordered Lacquer and received the bottles.
The outer ones are my old stock and the inner ones are the new ones. The numbers look same. But the Cap looks different. Are they same?
Thanks in advance. I heard even if they are acrylic we can thin using Mr.color Lacquer thinner it seems. But just want to confirm what I received is indeed Lacquer paint.

I would think they are the same.
Mr. Color = Lacquer
Gunze = Acrylic.
Open the new ones up and have a smell...you will know for sure if they are lacquer or not. Likely just a change of the cover.

As far as I knew, those with that strange cap should have been the lacquer ones, but apparently I'm wrong
Anyway, if they work as the Tamiya paints, you can also dilute the acrilyc paints using the Gunze lacquer thinner. Your finish will look even better and smoother
cheers

The caps changed a couple of years ago. The paint inside is still the same though (essentially lacquer).
If I recall correctly, the cap change coincided with the labelling change to the aqueous acrylic range.
