OK, so the MENG pickups, both the ZSU and the Special Forces one have been released for a while now.

As such, which conversions, PE, resin tires, and gear kits does one recommend? Would one buy the HIND-D rocket pod or 14.5mm DSHK for the bed?

Any recommendations for figures for either one?

Finally, if one were to chose just one pickup, would one be better and easier off buying the SOF pickup or the Technical one based on the kit accessories out there?

Thanks.

I can't speak about any of the AM sets for these, but if you're only going for one I'd get the Tecnical. The gun itself is a lovely mini-kit.

And perhaps the Master Box Iraq set would be suitable to go with the kit figure in a dio?

You can see my build of it here

I would get KFS Miniatures Rocket conversion:

KFS Libyan Rocket Pickup conversion

And Black Army Models crew:

Pickup crew

Black Army has a three figure crew which is really good, I think the best resin crew for Libyan Pickup. We'll have a review here soon.

Never seen those Black Army figures before.. they look great! Thanks for pointing them out, Mario!

I wish more companies would make some paramilitaries with generic clothes that could fit a variety of different conflicts.

Alas... we don't have PayPal here, so I can't buy these figures. Story of my life

Hey, Henk... bank transfer is no good either. I asked once before and I would have to open a dollar account with a minimum of $200 and pay a minimum of $30 in expenses on any transfer I make.. so, it's just not practical at all

The only two methods I have are either with my credit card or through Western Union.

Oh well...

These were released last weekend at the local show in Croatia. I managed to get them on the show directly from the manufacturer and will be writing reviews... I like the figures, but I haven't tried them yet in Meng Pick-up.

Hisham, if you are interested in the figures, drop me a PM and we could probably sort something out.

I too didn't know about the Black Army figures, or perhaps I forgot. In any case, they do look like a good match for the MENG Technical.

Following up....has anyone bought or used any of these resin update sets? If so, any comments on them?

I am still undecided on the SOF or the ZSU pickup? I know that the SOFs prefer the Tacomoa and F-350s, but some of the resin update sets for the SOF one look mighty nice.

Has any of the SOF pickups been instrumental in any kinds of action? The ZSU pickups seem to be very instrumental in rebellions.
