Hey, there,
Anybody build the early model Swedish S Tank by Trumpeter...? Squadron had a great price and I couldn't resist --- I have always loved this design...kinda like a modern Sturmgeschutz.
Any problems with the kit? Any recommendations on colors...?
Thanks!
Aloha,
Johnny B

If you want to know anything about these S tanks cntact Thord Wedman also known as the Swede . He appears here sometimes when he has time. I was talking to him on sunday past, and he offered me anything ... and i mean anything to do with this model. He works for the Swedish Army/government research department.
His site and contact details can be found here .

I attended a local IPMS contest this past weekend, where there were two of the Trumperter S Tanks displayed. Nothing fancy, and both appeared to be out of the box without any PE or other after-market items. The kit appears to build nicely. I remember how cool the old Aurora kit was when I built it, oh, shall we say a little while ago?
Havoc, I saw these at the Antelope Valley contest at AV College last weekend. I couldn't stay for the majority of the meet, but was there for the awards. I took a plaque for my Accurate Armour M114A1E1. I also brought my M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle, but it turned out to be "for display only". Sorry I didn't have a chance to meet you. There's still hope for the future!

I'm doing the Strv 103B right now.
Check it out HERE
As Plastic Battle said I can help you with images of the real deal (Only C-version cause all B-version was converted)
I have the manuals for both B- and C-version along with mechanics handbook and some other stuff as well.
Back to the Trumpeter kit. The kit builds up really nice, it will need some sanding and filling here and there but nothing major.
The big disadvantage, as has been discussed (sp) on varius forums is that the kit is under scaled.
That is nothing that you will notice when looking at the kit unless you place a Accurate Armour Strv 103C next to it.
The tracks on the B-version is quite simple but that can be covered by some heavy weathering.
Feel free to ask me if there is anything you need help with.
I work for the Swedish army so I'm away all weeks and only at home during weekends.
I'll try to pop in here at Armorama more often in the future.
