Hi all,
Need help...was the M113A2 used by the U.S. military ever in merdc camo scheme ? I google M113A2 picture and all I see is Desert Yellow ?
The one picture that i found in merdc camo looks like a museum piece...

Frenchy, Erik & James,
Thanks for the pictures reference. They are good.
Another question...I noticed the difference between the A1 and the A2 version is the smoke discharger at the front of the vehicle.
Could anyone tell me for the picture below taken from Academy M113a2 kit, are the parts F36 & F44 additional fuel tank for the A2 version ?
By the time these additional tank were installed on the A2 version, was the merdc camo scheme still painted on the A2 version ?
I noticed that the A2 pictures posted by Frenchy & Erick do not have the F36 & F44 installed on them.

All US M113A2s have the angled track guards on them. The larger external fuel tanks (right side of your pic) was not put on US M113s until the M113A3 variant. They were available for purchase w/the A2 version, but the US did not buy them.
