Great to see more progress on this. I am interested to see what modifications of the engine will be added, and the generator attached to it.

The generator is made of three electric motors, two of which are identical, and a smaller one, about half their size. Not only that, but the larger, identical motors are the same with the ones that move the vehicle. Will need four identical parts, so just one will be made and then cast in resin three more times. Next is the shorter section, the air intake at the front and finally the heat exhaust at the other end. Sounds easy enough, so better get to work, you guys want to see results!

Not just yet, real life won't let me... Things will settle down eventually and will hopefully resume work in May-June.

Thank you so much for the continuing interest! I was commissioned to do a couple of 1/32nd Japanese aircraft, a Ki-61 and a Ki-84, an interesting project, covering them with aluminum foil that will be weathered. Needless to say, this has pushed back my modelling schedule but I desperately, desperately need the money. After that is finished, work must and will resume on the Maus, for it started too long ago and needs to be finished.

I just want to say that skill to this level is rarely exhibited. You have taken great care with great respect during this entire build, and no matter how long it takes you, I'll be here to see it finished. Hats off to you mate. Cheers!

I am here for the long haul as well. I have not completed a model in a long time. You are an inspiration

A big thank you, Guys for the pat on the back, I really, really needed the nudge to resume work on this project. The amount of work ahead is staggering, but I would very much like to see this complete, finally done! There are a couple of things that need wrapping up, real life conspires to keep me off the work bench... But hopefully my next post will show you the engine exhaust, and then the radiators with their fans, the engine completed, and so on and so on.

When Mr. Rutman gives an order, then I'd better deliver!
These rough shapes represent the intermediary mufflers. Need to search for tubes or sprues of the right diameter to complete the exhaust system.

The next stage requires finding or making two cylinders 7.7 millimeters exterior diameter and 31 mm in length. Hope this won't take too long...

Well I work with wiring and stuff all the time and there is some 7.7mm heat shrink tubing I use. It seems to be somewhat thick though. Just an idea.

Said cylinders will become the final mufflers. After ransacking my place, all I've managed to find is a wax crayon, green in color. To avoid joining and painting complications will make the things out of rolled white styrene.

Problem solved! The center sections, 8 mm in diameter and 1.6 cm long, from four U.S. bombs in 1/32nd are about to become two final mufflers for the Maus:
