Hi,
Does anyone know the actual dimensions of the MCI c-rations box used during the Vietnam War?
The box I'm referring to is this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMahwBWjJw4
So far, the dimensions I've come up with are:
18 1/2 inches by 12 3/8 inches by 5 inches
but after converting this to 1/35 scale (13.41 mm by 8.98 mm by 3.63 mm), it seems small compared to my 1/35 scale figures (tamiya and dragon), making me think my dimensions are wrong.
cheers,
Sonny

Hi Sonny
You'll find some dimensions for a 1/1 scale replica here
Don't know if it's accurate or not though

A hundred bucks for empty cardboard boxes.........hmmmmmmm............
I'm going to sell the aluminum foil used to wrap my kid's tuna fish sandwich.
Price: $49.95. Shipping: $247 to anywhere outside my zip code. Unlike the C-Rats, my aluminum foil will contain authentic toony fish, mayo and chopped kosher garlic dill pickle residue. This is the ideal accessory for all those 5th grade reenactors in the audience.

Thanks Frenchy, my full scale measurements are just off by half an inch or so from the replica. So it's possible that that is really the size of it.
Headhunter506, you really should try putting up the foil on eBay, you never try, you'll never know.
Tuga, thanks for the link. I've seen this site before and I believe that the dimensions given (10 in 1 rations box) are accurate for the WW2 box which unfortunately is different from the ones used in Vietnam. There is some mention of Vietnam type boxes (verlinden and custom dioramics) but I have not seen photos of boxes that look like those, so I cant rely on those dimensions.
