When the boom is folded where does the cable that comes out of the hatch between the driver's hatches go? I want to fold my boom on my AFV Club kit

The cable simply lies on the top of the hull. Some is paid out as the boom folds and it lays down with the boom.

Here's a TM drawing. Like Gino says, I guess you can see the hoisting cable laying on the hull top :

Thank you Frenchy Thats what I was looking for. I'm going to load this one onto my M1070 and I just needed to know how the hoist cable was stowed.
I was looking at some photos for the cable coming through the opening with the hatch closed on the cable, it that common practice?

In fact there's a cutout in the hatch that allows the hatch to be closed without damaging the cable :

Frenchy, thanks for the great pictures! It ALMOST looks like the opening in the hatch is a hole from the closed hatch photo, but the open hatch photo clearly shows that it's a "U" shaped slot.

Great help!

Now that, that mystery is solved, I have to figure out how to take a link or two out of the tracks, they are very loose.

You're welcome. In fact I hadn't paid attention to this detail until Vince's question

Not sure if it's the approach you want to take, but I bought AVFs separate individual track link kit which (while a bit tedious to assemble but isn't TOO bad) allows you to build the exact number of links required which I believe the TM states is 84, and place the track in a bit more realistic fashion.
