ive been into modelling for years but this is my first diorama.
i was inspired by the re enactment group im in 'the 2nd guards rifle division''
november 1943- the 2nd guards division Fought in the Kherson Gulf bridgehead, with the 16th Rifle Corps, and distinguished itself on the Taman Peninsular, and was awarded the honorific title:
2nd GUARDS TAMAN RIFLE DIVISION.395th Guards Rifle Division 1st Guards Rifle Regiment

I really like the groundwork - hard to believe this is your first diorama!! The kits are great too. Soviet stuff is really neat and there seems to be more and more kits available.

Hi Connor, Nice project to work on. Don't forget lots of dirt and mud on the wheels and boots. I did notice the factory mold lines on the figures (a bit of file or razor knife work is needed) and these should be removed, IMHO - most distracting. Some putty on the ars and the heads look good. Nice work on the weapon slings. Keep us posted.

in future i will fire down the mold lines ect and i must invest in some mig pigments
the ground work is a pack from jarvis scenic's and dryed out compost
