For a number of reasons I a have been searching for new colors to replace Tamiya's acrylics. Acrylics and easy [multi source] availability as well as brush and airbrush usability where the „must have" criteria. The ability to replace the Valleyos as well was a „would be nice"

After some research I endet up with Revell Aqua. It covers the same color range as the elder emanels and uses AFAlK thc same numbers and is available at shops like ToysRUs and my FLGS for resonable prices.

+Can be diluted with water for brush and spray

+Thick,pasty color can be highly thinned and still covers

+Priced nicely at 1.5-2€ per 18ml as compared to Tamiya's 2.5-3€ per 23ml and the Revell is „more" due to consistence/thinning

+Quick dry, a thinner with retarder is available

+Easy to clean from (air)brush

+Clings well to the surface unlike Valleyo

+lt has Bundeswehr „gelboliv"

-Limited color rang, still need Valleyo for faces/uniforms

-No direct match to RAL/FS
