I see Trumpeter has released a UAZ-469 and a D-30 howitzer. When I build that jeep, I'd love to have it towing something. Can anyone tell me, would it be plausible, to have it towing the D-30 howitzer?
If not, I see that MiG Productions has a 107mm recoilless gun, and MMK Models an 82mm, I suppose either would work. Opinions?

J ,, From the hunting i have done the answer would be no .. the gun has a combat weight of 3,210 kg,(7,055 lbs) and the little UAZ has a total weight of 2,450 kg (5,401 lb) so if could technically tow it but the moment the going got tough is would not have the power or weight to tow the gun ,,, it is listed that the main two vehicles that tow the D-30 are the MT-LB and the Ural-375, both are quite large machines .
This pic shows how big the D-30 is .

Hope this will help ya out .

As Phill shows above, no. The prime mover for a D-30 is a 2 1/2 ton (Zil 151 as above, or Zil 157) or larger vehicle (6 ton Ural 357/4320 or an MT-LB in Mechanized units).

Hi
D-30 as mentioned NO!
MiG recoiless gun ..ok it could be, but will fit better to GAZ-69
ZU-23-2 should be the best choice, is availaible in 1/35 but poor quality. Wdely used in formerly Warsaw Pact and Russian Republic (airborne troops)
On the UAZ You can put everything, look on African Civil wars
Cheers

P.S Igot uaz..from trumpeter . Looks great

UAZ-469 is not able to tow D-30.
Zu-23-2 or its predecessor Zu-2 (aa twin 14.5 mm machine gun).
