Just building a 50 cal by academy to fit on a OIF M113 now the acadmey kit gives
you a few barrels which one is the correct one to use?

I don't remember what barrels are included in Academy kit, but use the one that looks like this:

You could use one with a flash suppressor, the conical thing at the tip, one without, as in the picture above, or one with a blank shredder if it's being used in training. This is the barrel with a reversed cone with what looks like a cog wheel at the base. To do this style correclty, you'll need to add three pieces of stretched sprue equallally spaced around the cog to the tip of the coolong sheath. It'll end up looking like some sort of mini-gun assembly

Vodnik, that pic gives alot of good weathering info and references IE the scratches and chiping. a little of the subject of this post. lol
