Does anyone know if any model firm manufactures modern power generators that SIgnal units have on the back of their humvees or on the towed trailers ?
I am looking for modern Signal model scale stuff

Yes, I have the newest stuff in my motor pool. I have one or two of virtually all the various types used. Some are skid and others are trailer mounted. I'm one of the only places in the Army where soldiers are sent to relearn on the new equipment. Creating one of these generators would be farily simple. The newer chassis are just like the old ones and the tires are the same as newer HMMWV tires.
Te new style generators are called TQGs or Tactical Quiet Generators and feature touch computer screens. But the generators are still basically big diesel truck engines.

I do know that someone may be working on the new CMT-C (M1102) trailer. All I can say is hang in there guys.........

I dont know so much about the military's because I did service on a crypto base during peacetime,
BUT
in the Fire Department our generators were strewn with extension cords, (all over any object we could strap them to) and we had a lot of those little lights that we could set on the ground or a tripod frame mounted to our generator. We used the power it made to exhaust smoke, but predominately for lighting after we de-energized a burning house, and had to clean up the mess left from our work.
Some extension cords and lights might make the subject "beleivable" if you end up scratchbuilding it.
