Just picked this up yesterday (Bad Bob mad me spend money again!) and it is a gem. I am sitting here drooling over the instruction sheet. Now I don't know wether to stop my Academy Humvee build or not.
Seriously, great kit and detail on the TOW system is very nice. If you like Modern US, get one.

Ditto - I was pretty impressed when the three I got from HLJ arrived. They'll build up into nice miniatures.

Looked on tamiya usa.com but couldn't find it... (got a link?) Still got two humvee to finish, but after reading the article on this site about italeri's humvee (was it general Sabot's article?) I'm not sure I will ever finish 'em... curious how tamiyas humvee looks like... (BTW do you guys keep the boxes of (nearly) finished models, cause I'm allready starting to forget the brand of my ongoing models....or is it the Beer?! #:-) )

I for one think that the new Humvee is a great kit. Sure you can not-pick on some of the smaller details, but with a little work (or none at all) you can build many varients from a great stock kit.

With the new release of the 1046, I plan to add this to my "...to do...." list shortly.
