Here's a very early start to this dio. Will have Russian assault engineers going through a factory ruin past this Panzer III J inspired by Vladimir's "Angels of Death" dio

Thanks Steven.

I'll have to remove the panzerfausts, but I think the rest of their weapons and gear would work for 1942????

Yes I do, the weapons look contempory.

Slightly off topic, but what happened to the Tamyia turret and why do you have a spare Dragon Turret?

Will be interesting to see how you go about damaging the Pz. III.

Steven - the turret I primered previously. It's all 1/48 scale, a Hauler III J conversion turret parts

Dmitry - the figures are a sample I'm going to be receiving from a friend. Hopefully Corsar Rex does this release and more. I'm part of the advertising campaign

This is Corsar Rex's 1/35 pics, but 1/48 coming soon hopefully

The stowage box came out a little too large but good enough for government work I believe. About ready to start on the factory ruins and a KO'd commander face down in the cupola.

Tamiya black, then German grey, then lightened German grey highlights with airbrush done. I need to find time to hit the hobby store for some plastistruct parts and paint now

Well, here's a small update. I ordered this O scale resin crate pile thinking they were 10 times larger to fill that space in the back and give the Assault engineers some cover. So I guess I need to scratch some bigger crates too unless anyone has another resource? I ordered the 24 pz division unit signs and numbers from Archer Transfers today. I built this factory structure, but need to add lots of rubble and fallen debris to give the guys in the foreground some cover. The only problem I don't want to add too much or it may be hard to photograph or see what's going on. Ideas welcomed

Thanks Roman!

I think this will work out better with the majority of figures in easy view. I just need to add a larger crate for the sergeant to peer around instead of the barrels, and add debris.

Here's some beginning detail painting. It's going to take awhile. Wears me out lol. I have some more broken machine guns I'll have to repair along the way.

Been playing around with the position of the flame thrower too. I think I like him out in front of the Sgt now. Any suggestions welcome

Here's where I'm at on the Stalingrad dio. I still need a few touch ups on the tank and figures. Started putting some color to the base and getting all the pipes, barrels, and boxes going. I wonder if I'll finish in time...still gotta paint my house too when the weather is right

Maybe I should make the wall bricks a dark brown to help the grey panzer stand out better, hmmm (I have more detail parts not shown)

Great concept(even if it wasn't yours alone ). Looks like they are getting ready for a barbecue. You may want to add some debris, on the tracks and superstructure. Right now, it looks as though the tank drove into the factory and had the tracks blown off.
