Hey all
I have a question for you guys...My question is do you guys build the model tank 100% complete then start the painting/weathering process or do you guys paint all the parts individualy then glue them together then start the weathering..?
Thanks

Daniel;
I think that when others start to chime in you'll find that there are many different philosophies on how to proceed. In my limited experience I have found that it is often useful to paint sub assemblies before glueing them into place especially if they are hard to reach or will become difficult to do once set in place, like interiors and cockpits.
I usually try to get as much built as I can before breaking out the paint, unless it is as stated above. Once I have most of the major work done I will begin priming and painting, then go back and paint what detail bits I can before setting them in place, think MG's, extinguishers and gear. I usually try to do touch ups when and where necessary before the weathering starts. Hope this helps. Try it different ways and see what is most comfortable for you and provides the best results. Somewhere in there, there is a happy medium for you. Cheers.

Except for interiors, road wheels and tracks I build the entire kit before painting it. I find it much easier to paint the interior parts, before assembly. I find the road wheels quite difficult to paint, after they are glued on. This is the same with tracks.

Daniel,
I tend to paint in sub-assemblies and maybe some detailing off the model.
I also think you posted this in 'Figures' by mistake. Try posting it in the next forum down (Painting).
It'll give the subject more viewings from browsers looking at painting issues/techniques
