I've been working on this since the kit came out. I added all that was missing in the interior. The Harris antenna cover is made from a drinking straw. Just a few more things to add and finish weathering it and I'll call this one done.

Hi Pete, greetings from Trinidad and Tobago. It seem you've been a busy modeller. Great work. I have this kit and I'm somewhat disappointed that there isn't too much aftermarket stuff for this kit, it seems that the industry went with the Kinetic kit. I am interested in what modifications you made to the kit and any references/advice you can offer. Thanks in advance

Thanks Olivier.
Kurt,
I used the walk around here on Armorama. It's in the features section. To tell you the truth, 90% of my references came from here. Most of the mods was done to the inside. I added all the missinf COM's boxes, seat belts, circuit breaker box, DUKE system, FBCB2 CPU unit, rear AC unit, keyboard, DVE system above the drivers head, all cabeling, SINCGAR radios, and a mount for thr HARRIS radio. I have pictures of what I added and I will post them here tomorrow so you can see what I am talking about.

Looks great Pete, only recommendations are not to forget the yellow rubber wire covers that are everywhere on the commo cords. They add a lot of color to the interior. I'd agree, maybe clean up the wash on the lower hull a bit if you can. I'd love to see what you did for the DUKE unit as well. What are you planning on doing for a weapons load out?
Disregard my post about the yellow wires, I just noticed them, awesome attention to detail!

Come on Steve, I was the COMMO SGT for my last unit? Do you really think I would foret those little detailas. LOL!!!!!
As for weapons, I have a MK19 in the gunners station. I will see what I can do about showing the DUKE. As for the wash, yea, you guys are right. I tried taking most of it off and maybe i still can get more off, but I'm still not finished and hoping that a dusting of pigments will help out.

No eagle mounted 240/249? A good dusting should clean that up, and I know you know what that looks like. Are you doing the bustle rack for the turret? That's become pretty much standard these days, though if you're running a Rhino it's most likely an earlier truck, but we still had them all over the place, the turret bustle, not the rhino.
One more note, don't be afraid to bust up the hood/fenders. Ours got the crap beat out of them front IED's, SAF, IDF, and just drivers hitting stuff. They are only fiberglass.

I guess you can consider it an earlier truck Steve. The turret is already done but it wouldn't be that hard to add the rack, gotta think about that one.

Awesome, looks great man. That's the cool thing about the real trucks, they are very colorful and not very monotone like most tend to model them. You pulled it off quite well, capital job.

Yes, SINCGARS are still in use. Usually, there will be one or two SINCGARS and one Harris long range radio as well.
