Well, Christopher (Tiger_123) said I should post more often over here, so here I am again!
This is one I did for the 'Sniper 3' campaign over at HF, so a few of you may already have seen it..
It started out as something pretty simple, but I kind of lost the plot part-way through! A certain person on here knows why!
Anyway, let me know what you think?

Over to you guys.....

Creepy stuff. But in a very cool way, awesome job. I don't know if you were referencing the book "Twilight of the Gods" in the title, I just got the book a week ago and finished it. Great read if you haven't already.

Thats easily one of the best figure scenes I've ever seen. The colors, posing and setting are just sublime. The masonry work that kind of 'frames' the figures is particularly nice with a very well worn hue but still with plenty of color and visial interest. The figures are also really well chosen and as I said, posed brilliantly.

What figures did you use for this?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the nice comments
The sniper is mainly scratchbuilt, using MB legs, a Hornet head and a few DML bits. You can see how I did it here:
http://hfmodeling.kitmaker.net/forums/184205&page=3
About halfway down the page.
The dead SD dude was also mainly scratched, using an old pair of DML boots and a skull from a maker I can't remember the name of!
Any more questions, just fire away!
All the best,
Gary

If I'm not mistaken it's from dragon's Nachtjager kit. But it's not my build so I couldn't tell you for sure

Hey Gary, another excellent job there. Beautifull choice for a vign. and your colors seem to tie it all together with an artistic ability that many miss. This is really a fantastic vign. and the kind of look that I try to achive, though I will say, you put my efforts to shame.

Hi Curtis,
Conor's right, the sight is from the DML Nachtjager kit with a pewter foil disc over the lens, as is the pack frame. The Stg-44 is a gen2 item. The large battery box is scratchbuilt and the smaller one is a gen2 gasmask case. The wiring is 0.2mm lead wire from Plusmodel.
No idea why the Nachtjager kit isn't more well known, as it's pretty good in it's own right, with stuff not done anywhere else.
By the way Conor, 'Twilight of the gods' is referencing Wagner's 'Gotterdammerung' Opera, just imagine Berlin burning instead of Valhalla and you get the idea! Endgame for the Third Reich!
All the best,guys,
Gary.

Just to brag a bit... Gary's masterpiece is in good hands; here it is on the premium spot in my glass cabinet:

And believe me, the vignette looks even better in flesh. Thanks mate!

And looking the contents of that cabinet Mario, I can't imagine it being in better company!
All the best,
Gary
