Steph,

Sorry to say that isn't so. I still get the "new" PB, and like most everyone else I can't get it to work! (It worked the other day, so they clearly have a new FUBAR at their end...)

We'll just have to wait for them to sort it out, or for a new photo-sharing megasite to open up!

Lucky you! No matter what I do, mine defaults to http://{edited}.beta.photobucket.com/ (the "new" site) and won't load or let me get back to the old one.

Know of any other good free photo sharing websites I can join?

Hi Tom,

Try emailing them, they are very helpful and should reset if you have a problem.

It may have something to do with the browser you use...

What about Google-owned Picasa ? Never had any issue with them.

Woohoo!!! Finally got PhotoB*ll*cks to work again!

I dumped the cache & cookies (my browser does it anyway on exit), then let the computer "rest" for a while. When I went back into IE9 and hit the link to PB it still gave the new site, but forgot who I was (no automatic sign-in). So, since the home page was up I went down the bottom to the handful of trending galleries and picked one just to get to a photo. At the bottom of the image page it says "sign in to leave a comment", and when I hit that button an old-fashioned sign-in screen appeared. Once logged in I got the image I'd browsed (a sunset - very pretty!) instead of the never-ending homepage that fails to load, but the "switch back" button was there! Hit it, give a reason, and hey presto! back to the old page that actually works!

What a nightmare...

I just tried my account and there is no problem with photobucket, so it must be your PC.

Hi there,
Iīve just done almost the same thing as Tom , except for dumping the cookies and cache ( I have no idea what they are) and it works again.
Cheers Tom.

@ Jeff: I canīt see it being my PC and three others here on the thread with the same problem , I also tried my works PC with the same result as my home one. Well as long as it works now itīs ok. Just hope this sh doesnīt happen to often.

Hi Paul,

Glad you got it working again! Frenchy's link to the Network54 thread suggests the new PB isn't entirely compatible with IE8 & IE9. Seeing as Internet Explorer is still the most-used browser on the planet it's kinda a "draw gun, shoot foot" moment for the folks at PB! Hope they fix it before they withdraw the old PB page...

Thanks for the links Frenchy!

Any ideas what we can do?
I also have an account on flickr, but have still not found out where the IMG is to be found, again any one any ideas?
