I am in the very early planning stages of a diorama concept that will include a MAUS tank. I want to depict it on a flatcar. Since no flatcars were built for it, I don't really know if one was, and it being very heavy, I am guessing it would be a depressed center type. I was wondering if I could use two of the 80 ton SSyms Platforwagens as a starting point. Using the trucks from both kits and much of the decking similar to the articulated heavy duty center depressed flatcars used in the U.S.A. from the 20's and up to today. I know this would be a "what if" scenario, but is believable??
One more thing. Are there such things as printed background for 1/35th scale, similar to the ones used by model railroaders and where to find them.

Yes that's it. I didn't know they built one. Might be a little tough to be exact but I could do a believable one. Thank Frenchie

In fact I've just done a 30s Google search for "maus tank railroad"....and came across this very same picture I had posted in an earlier thread here
