hello guys,

I just wanted to ask for your help on this thing.
Did the russians paint their vehicles with camouflage scheme when they were in Afghanistan during '79 to '88 ?

Picture references will be greatly appreciated!

That said most of Soviet armour is painted dark green og olive green with not much camo..

Yes, some units did. Not sure which units though, since noit all vehicles had it.

Sand over green was the most prevalent I saw there, if any at all. Most paint jobs weren't as neat as the photos would suggest. The wackier cammo jobs seen later were Northern Alliance vehicles.

yup I agree, i saw NA tanks painted in green with blue and yellow streaks hehe!
