Airfix augment their 1/48 British Army Operation Herrick range with a kit of the 4x4 high-mobility Supacat HMT400 Jackal patrol vehicle. Matthew Lenton runs us through his first impressions.

Nice but once again they show the correct tire pattern on the box art yet different and possibly wrong tread pattern on the plastic sprues?

Any ideas why?

Keith.

Keith, I did address this issue in the review, but could only offer speculation as to the reason this was done. It is, however, as it is.

Thanks for a great review. It's a shame about the wheel tread, but gaso-line makes resin replacements. Also, maybe BlackDog will come out with a good upgrade and storage set.. and maybe some better weapons!

I was hoping for a plastic one of these in 1/35.. mainly because of my eyesight.. but I think I'll try one when they hit the online stores.

The resin wheels can be bought at quarter-kit.com
Oliver there is awesome and will help if any resin is lost or damaged.

Greg, I can see them in the Gaso.Line catalogue, but not actually on sale... did you see them? Maybe they're not available yet?

Thanks to all above, appreciation appreciated.

Hi, well I saw the offer for the free tires with the purchase of the kit. I did a search on the site using "tires" and then "wheels" and came up different options. I'm not sure if any of these could work:

sending an email to Oliver may be the best option
