Thanks Pfc, but the stuff on those sites is still not quite what im looking for, i know the answers to my problems now, except what i could line the walls with, wooden planks maybe? or snadbags? also, what would be the most common roofing for an ammo shed dug into the walls on this artillery dug out? would it be corregated iron? if so how could i make that in 1:72? or would they use wooden planks? would they put sandbags ontop of the roof? i need HELP!!!

Due to the long range of German artllery, especially the heavies, it wasn't always neccessary for the batteries to be dug in, since they would have been quite a ways back from the front lines. Here's 3 pic's German artillery on the East Front. It's really all I have . Maybe they can give you some ideas.

battery of heavy s 10.0cm K 18 canons

10.5cm leFH 18

150mm sFH18

WOW fastest replys ever! :-)
Nice pics, but its a bit to late to not make them dug in, i have already made the dio itself, just havent added groundwork trees paint etc. besides i think making them dug in adds something to the diorama, but i still need help with the ammo shed, what would i make the roof out of, and how would i make it in 1:72 scale, cheers
