Hello!
Nice things
Are they made of plastic or resin? When will be possible to buy 'em?

Looks like a new player from Hong Kong. I haven't seen any distributors or any other kind of info other than release info/images and the address. Judging from the CAD images it looks like another nicely designed kit for the soviet armor fans (myself included). Hope to hear more about this!

This is unexpected news. I wonder that it is plastic or resin too.

Now I know why friulmodel has produced a set of T-80 track links recently

The CAD drawings, and the promo stataments: 'One-piece 125mm main gun barrel', 'Highly accurate one-piece lower hull', 'Highly detailed one piece track for ease of assembly', and 'Authentic rubber tyres' in the Gaz model seem to point to a styrene kit, IMHO.
Great news anyway.
Best regards,
César

I'm hoping the same; at least for the lower hull and wheels to be decent enough in order not to have to buy a T-80 Skif kit again.
The CAD drawing looks very good though.

Also SP Designs stopped selling their T-80U Model 1993 and T-80U Model 1985.

I really hope this is true. I'm will be saving up money to buy more than just one kit if it's worth it. Now what to do with the old SP design and skif kits?

Wow, that looks really nice!
Dumb question- what purpose do the rubber flaps mounted on the front of the glacis serve?

AFAIK, the same purpose of the rubber flaps in front of the turret armor blocks: some degree of protection for those "shot trap" sections...

It looks really nice! I imagine it'll be a "best seller"....
I really wonder why any "great" company hasn't made it before. Reading some modeller's forum would have been enough to understand what subject the people were eager to have...

You and me both. That said, the fact that their is a test shot fills me with hope. A wee bit more concrete than just CAD images. . .

Going on the pictures of the test shot, I am a bit concerned by the front turret "inserts". It looks like a plate on the top of the turret when it should be a welded line. But as it is a test shot, we will see...
As for SP Designs, was this a bit of a shock, but really, the T-80's should have been done a LONG time ago by someone.
I also hear that either Hobby Boss or Trumpeter will be doing a T-80B...good time to build Modern Russian Armor.

Oh yeah! Just when I told myself I wouldn't buy anything for a while. I share the same sentiment as the tanker figure!

The test shoot wiped out all my concerns, I will buy it the only problem is the quality of this new company, but I will pay for just for T-80U..........
It's definitely the best T-80U 1:35 plastic kit in the market for no company give us a new tooled T-80U for more then 20 years........
god........though it's not my fav T-72, but T-80 is my second favorite!
Wonder if I could have this baby before X-mas

I was talking with the owner just few hours ago in hong kong. I saw the sprues and the final model. As soon as i arrive home i will put one picture of the parts.
He told me that the kit will be ready for sell for next year. He will send me more information. The first kit, the T80 looks a great kit to me, , very well detailed. The most impressive thing is the rubber tracks, a new type of rubber very resistent to all paints and can be glue with normal glue. But, they are amazing because the tracks pins , the ones in the middle, are hollow very fine. The kit conatin many sprues, around 10 or 12, and a litle PE set. The kind of kit is very similar to the new trumpeter kits like BTR60.
He told me that he want to make accurate kits but not extremely complex like the dragon ones. He is a independent new produced, not involved with other brands, and the most important, he is a modeller, which means he will be able to understand us. He know what we want.
I am happy that he decided to go in the russian subjects.
