Question about roads in Stalingrad

I would like to make a small Dio based in Stalingrad. My question is, Does anyone know (or have photo references) What the roads were like in the city? Where they Cobblestone/Brick or Asphalt?

i think they were coblestone but watch the video enemy at the gates just to be sure

Cobblestone comes to mind, but what comes to mind even more is RUBBLE, rubble everywhere. So depending on the dio you may not really even see the street.
I'll scan a couple of books and see if I have anything on Stalengrad.
