Yo Friends,

A clean bench after finishing my latest diorama...so, new work has enter.

Starting with some styrofoam leftovers for creating a base, using foam plates for creating the wall.

The foam plates have on both sides a cardboard side with comes of very easy. As a result you get a nice structure underneath it...a good base for the wall.

Stay tuned!

Yo Friends,

Few steps further with this one.

Pics are from the dry fit test...cutting the side walks on the right size to fit the base...the cobblestones dry fitting on to there place to get a view how it will look. Some of them need to be cut in half for a more realistic look.

Side walk and cobblestones are from add on parts... rain drain and window is mini art, light pole is plus model.

Next on...some more scratch work on the wall to have more detail and contrast.

Keep up!

Greetz Nico.

Yo Friends,

Here we are again with some little update...i added some texture on the wall with instant joint filler. This will be a good base for painting and weathering.

The strokes around the window frame are made with two parts epoxy resin...also add here some texture with a toothpick to get that stone look...

More on the way...please feel free to comment.

Stay tuned.

Yo Friends,

Marching on on this one...

With good weather for modelling outside... i made a rain gutter for the wallpaper diorama. The gutter is made from very fine metal foil 0,05 mm tick.

Bended around an evergreen rod to get the right shape. From a leftover photo etched sprue i made some
clamps to hold the rain gutter on the wall.
It's getting a good shape...i can't wait to start the paint job...but first some building to do...starting with the roof.

Stay tuned!

Yo Friends,

Little update...made some rooftiles with some evergreen sheets.

With some wood glue it's easy to fi them on the roof...

A little movie to show a little more...

again a few steps further. Rooftiles are done...time now to fix the balsa wood strips to the base of the diorama. Glued on with some wood glue, and each side has to dry for one night with some pressure on it...

When the balsa side are drying i fixed some mask to the street light in order to don't want to airbrush the nice widows from the light.

Please feel free to comment

Have a nice day!

Hey Nico, coming along very nicely. Very glad you added the gutter straps, many forget them; turned out nice. That Plus Model lamp is good looking. Did it come with the P.E. or was that your idea? I have some brass ship stuff from an old sail type and think I'll dress up mine because your looks so cool with it. Hope to see more soon. Best of the new year to you and your family. bob d.

Hi Nico

Nice little tutorial

It's not easy to keep the lines straight for the roof tiles, isn't it?

Yo Friends,

Thanks for the reply's!

@ Bob: the photo etched stuff was indeed a part of the kit...it turn out very well in my opinion. Thanks for the best wishes, i wish you and your family al that much to.

@ Tom: ...yo like yoooow guy's something in between i guess

@Zon: thnaks for the nice words, i'll hope to get some nice weathering on that stucco wall..

@ Claude, the rooftiles are glued according a line...that's not the problem...cutting the tiles each time to their right size...that's the trick
much more respect for your tile work now

Last post of the year folks...between all the festivities from the last days i managed to do some benchwork.

Some airbrushing on the wallpaper diorama...groundcolor, base color, light color, deeper color, etc...

A good base for the weathering fase later on...can wait to start on this...the wall with the texture is a perfect setting for weathering.

Keep it save with the fireworks tonight...see you in 2013!!
