Hello all

Just finished this 1/24 diorama for a friend of mine recently who served several tours of duty with the Irish Defence Forces in Lebanon, kit was the Italeri land rover 109 with a scratchbuilt canvas bar, the figure came from the person who I made this for and he's not sure where he go it from, it was in need of repair and a complete repaint, anyway enjoy!

Alan

Nice dio- the figure goes alongside the 1/24 jeep very naturally- and the white tank trap is a neat addition. The badges on the base finish things off well. Thanks for posting this.

Very nice Alan ... always great to see some Irish models. Is the figure a scratchbuild?

Hi Alan,

This is realy well done, you did a nice job of the painting.

The figure was made by a friend of mine, Richie Keane, who
sadly passed away a few years ago.
Richie was a great force in the Irish model scene as a member of the Irish Model Soldier Society, there is an award presented in his memory at the yearly competition that we have every May in Dublin.
I think he took best of show in Euro militaire in the 90s lm not too sure, and lm open to correction on this.

They were sold under the banner Fianna minitures in the mid to late 90s, he also had a number of Busts of Irish soldiers
Infantry, Cavalry and I think there was a Sailor and and an Airman.
