Wow! MC Leung has sent us images before and I must say he is one of most talented modelers around. He has shared one of he recent works, "Wacht am Rhein" with over 18 high-resolution photos. It took him 2 years to finish and includes many figures, a King Tiger, DML 250 Halftrack and several other vehicles. This is one to check out:

OnDisplay: Wacht am Rhein

As usual if you have comments or feedback please leave them here.

Thanks MC!

Cheers,
Jim

Wow MC,

This is a great piece of art, real inspirational!

Great layout, nice build and some fine sub-plots. Simply stunning.

The only thing that I could remark on: it is clear that the road is very muddy (nicely done) but the boots of the soldiers are clean, maybe you could ad some dirt to them.

Still, this is one to remember

Woooow

That is one inspirational piece of art especially as I`m planning to do such myself too. Indeed maybe MC could dirty up the boots but that would be the only small nitpick I have. This dio brings out great ideas for the dio I`m planning thanks for posting these pics

Indeed Paul got it up quicker than us.

But I should mention that because of a suggestion from Danny (Eagle). MC reshot his images in outdoor lighting and they came out MUCH better. So Armorama had a part to play in that too. Thanks Danny!

well i must say that is a real treat to watch....

I have one comment though...

You forgot to remove the lower right arm of the tank commander !!!
THe commander lost his arm during the fights in France .
( See my article "Ridin high " here at Armorama )

But overall

Very Nice !!! Topper !!!

Thanks Gentleman, thanks for all the comments. I'll try to dirty up the boots of the soldiers, but I must say that is quite hard to do now even though you get a steady hands and fine brush. And I know that the tank commander lost his arm only when I had put him into the tank and fixed with CA from the inside turret and with all the riders were fixed on the engine deck. So there is no turning point. There's a Chinese old word " You miss one thing while you concertrate on the other ten thousands."

Awesome is the only word that comes to mind. This diorama is one of those where you can see something new each time you look at it. There is so much going on that its hard to catch everything the first time. Great job.

it'll still fall to the side after seeing that one!

WOOOOOWWWWW !!!!! This is realy inpresive. Very well done. Balanced in proportions and with a lot of things to watch. If I have it in front of me I believe that I could stay watching it for hours.
Congratulations.

Incredible! I would love to have the patience to spend two years on a single project, but the finished job is well worth the time and effort.

I am a big fan of the "large platoon of figures" (surprise?), and think this is an astounding job of composition and artistic talent. While I eventually was struck by the "clean boots" syndrome, the thing that caught my eye was "where are bootprints by the dozens of dozen, in all the mud on that wet and mucky road?".

Other than this minor nitpick - I feel this is a wonderful piece. Does the author have his own website perhaps?

This gentleman has a very special gift. It is a three dimensional oil painting. The figures are done to perfection. The wet muddy road looks so real I can feel the cold damp sticky feeling as I slip and slide over it. Bravo and three cheers

MC, Outstanding work, just goes to show that when you take your time with something it's worth all the effort. Looks like a scene right out of WW2. Wingman out.

Thanks once again gentlman :-) All the figures were DML product except one motorcycle rider from Tamiya. Some recieved minor conversion and some even build up from my parts box. I use Humbrol paint all the way and oil paint for washing and again Humbrol for drybrush. It really take time to finish this dio, you know patient sometimes mean pain!! I am now planning two Vietnam dio. One small and one large. I can't tell when will I finish them.
Regards
MC
